I am currently in the United States on an F-1 student visa and would like to know whether I can change my status to H-1B. What are the eligibility requirements, and do I need an employer to sponsor me? I would also appreciate guidance on the H-1B lottery, timing, OPT or STEM OPT, cap-gap extension, required documents, and whether I can remain in the United States while the change-of-status application is being processed.
