MECHON INTERNATIONAL is seeking an Accountant cum Financial Controller to manage the entire financial spectrum. This hands-on role requires an accountancy expert to handle daily accounting operations while also driving strategic financial planning, control, and governance. You will be the sole finance person, responsible for ensuring financial integrity and supporting commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily, monthly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with IFRS/UAE standards.
- Manage the full cycle of AP and AR, including invoice processing, payment runs, and collections to optimize working capital.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and management reports to the leadership team.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support operational planning and strategic decision-making.
- Design, implement, and monitor robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Ensure full compliance with all UAE regulations, including VAT filing and all other statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is Mandatory.
- A professional qualification is Highly Preferred.
- Minimum 3-4 years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance, with at least 2 years in a Financial Controller role, preferably in the UAE.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/SAP/Oracle or a similar ERP system, and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven experience with UAE VAT regulations and reporting.
- Must currently hold Independent visa.
