    Job Overview

    KUMOO, a consultancy specialized in Microsoft Cloud transformation, is recruiting a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist for a public-sector client in Brussels, Belgium.

    This mission focuses on supporting the ongoing deployment of Microsoft Power BI as the organization’s main business intelligence solution. The consultant will help finalize the architecture, develop new reports, train Key Users, and optimize governance of the Power BI environment.

    The assignment is part-time (approx. 2 days per week), with 50% on-site presence in Brussels and the remainder remote.

    Key Responsibilities

    As Business Intelligence Specialist, you will:

    • Establish and optimize interfaces between Power BI and the data warehouse.
    • Develop and document datasets, semantic models, and functional reports.
    • Support daily administration, technical maintenance, and governance of Power BI.
    • Implement improvements and optimize existing reports.
    • Conduct audits and optimize permission/security management.
    • Train and coach Key Users on Power BI, DAX, and Python integration.
    • Provide detailed documentation and deliver a final report of all implemented actions.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • At least 10 years’ experience in BI roles, with senior-level Power BI expertise.
    • Deep knowledge of Data Warehousing, SQL, and Azure security configuration.
    • Experience in integrating multiple data sources (DW, SharePoint, external DBs).
    • Skills in Python applied to Power BI.
    • Proven ability in Power BI administration and governance.
    • Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
    • Excellent communication in French (oral and written).

    • Analytical thinking with a solution-oriented approach.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
