The Charge nurse coordinates daily administrative duties, including schedules, assignments and patient care.     Key Responsibilities

    • Demonstrates competence in patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
    • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and family-centered care.
    • Monitors staff performance, providing constructive feedback, coaching, guidance, and support.
    • Ensures effective utilization of human resources, consumables, and equipment.
    • Provides guidance and advice to the patient care team on clinical and administrative matters.
    • Facilitates effective communication between the patient, family, and healthcare team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor degree in nursing OR Degree in Nursing (minimum two (2) years course duration)
    • Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia AND valid/current national license.
    • BLS Required, ACLS, PALS relevant to area of specialty.
    • NLT 6 years clinical experience post qualification in an appropriate & relevant healthcare settings
    • NLT 2 years’ experience as a team leader in a particular unit
