Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects after contract award, including payments, variations, and claims.
• Review, certify, and process subcontractor and supplier payments in line with contractual terms.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize variation orders to ensure fair and timely resolution.
• Prepare, assess, and defend claims to protect the company’s financial and contractual position.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasts to ensure profitability.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in commercial management within the construction industry, specifically in the UAE and GCC markets.
• Proven track record working with main contractors on large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of local laws, regulations, and industry practices in the UAE/GCC.
• Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) preferred.
