Role Overview
Position: AI Task Designer (Contractor – Remote)
Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week | Flexible, asynchronous
Duration: Minimum of 6 weeks, with potential extensions
Location: Remote (open to applicants in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia only)
As a Content Reviewer / AI Task Designer, you will enhance large-language-model performance by designing, testing, and evaluating reasoning tasks. Your role is critical in ensuring outputs are accurate, clear, and comprehensive.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Mercor coordinators and research leads to develop challenging reasoning tasks.
- Write gold-standard solutions and evaluate AI responses.
- Fact-check and edit AI outputs for clarity, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.
- Identify inconsistencies, errors, or gaps in AI-generated content.
- Communicate findings through concise, structured writing.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Background in roles such as technical writing, editing, academic research, content review, curriculum design, assessment development, or instructional design.
- Experience creating Q&A, problem-solving tasks, or summaries for long-form content.
- Strong fact-checking, analytical, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to synthesize information across diverse domains.
- Excellent written communication with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in AI model evaluation.
- STEM background or experience in related fields.
Engagement Details
- Contract Type: Hourly contractor.
- Compensation: Paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
- Schedule: Flexible, remote, asynchronous.
- Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, with extensions possible.
