    Job Overview

    Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is seeking a Director of People & Culture to join its leadership team. This role oversees all aspects of the People & Culture division, including employee relations, recruitment, training, compliance, and career development. As part of the hotel’s executive team, the Director will shape the employee experience, ensuring that staff are supported, engaged, and empowered to deliver the exceptional service Four Seasons is known for.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all People & Culture functions including recruitment, retention, benefits, compliance, and training.
    • Monitor staff performance and oversee disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, and succession planning.
    • Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure transparency across all staff levels.
    • Supervise HR budgets, benefits administration, and cost-effective employee engagement programs.
    • Establish recruitment, placement, and pre-employment procedures aligned with company standards and labor laws.
    • Maintain strong compliance with local labor regulations, wage & hour laws, and company policies.
    • Partner with senior leaders on employee engagement, talent development, and workforce planning.
    • Oversee training programs to support employee growth and prepare talent pipelines.
    • Manage salary surveys, compensation reviews, and workforce planning initiatives.
    • Lead employee recreational activities, events, and staff recognition programs.
    • Represent the hotel in hearings related to labor disputes, workers’ compensation, and employment claims.
    • Actively support the Safety Committee and workplace safety initiatives.

    Requirements

    • College degree or equivalent professional HR experience.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Director of People & Culture (or equivalent senior HR role) in hospitality.
    • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Expertise in HR functions including Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Rewards.
    • Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication.
    • Fluency in both Korean and English (written & spoken).
    • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and compliance in South Korea.
    • Proficiency with HR systems and office applications.
