Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic vision, architecture, and development of Overstory’s core platform.
- Oversee and mentor the platform engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, scalability, and system reliability.
- Collaborate with product and data science teams to seamlessly integrate AI/ML models into the platform.
- Ensure the security, performance, and stability of the platform infrastructure.
- Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap of the company.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on platform development.
- Proven expertise in building and scaling distributed systems and cloud-native applications (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong background in AI/ML infrastructure, data pipelines, and real-time processing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with geospatial data or satellite imagery is considered a significant advantage.
