Company Overview
The Dipartimento della Funzione Pubblica is a structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, established by law on March 29, 1983, n. 93, which is entrusted with overseeing the policies of reform and modernization of public administrations. It is also the structure that ensures support to the Minister for Public Administration in carrying out the tasks delegated by the President of the Council of Ministers.
It provides support for legislative and regulatory innovation and ensures the supervision of its implementation. It promotes and supports the transformation processes of public administrations through its capacity for direction, interventions to strengthen administrative capacity, the identification and dissemination of good practices at national and international level.
The organizational structure was recently modified by D.M. of 24 July 2020 as amended by D.M. of 15 July 2022 (registered by the Court of Auditors on 11.08.2022, prot. n.2131) to ensure more effective support for the definition and implementation of policies for the reform and modernization of public administrations in areas such as simplification, transparency, performance evaluation, public work, recruitment of PA personnel and administrative organization.
