    Job Overview

    Bendigo Bank is looking for Discharge Officers to join its Loan Servicing & Transactions team. In this vital role, you will ensure smooth and accurate processing of loan payouts, facility closures, and security discharges. By preparing precise payout figures, managing documentation, and supporting customers, you’ll directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

    With two full-time 12-month roles and one part-time 12-month role (3 days/week) available, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your career with one of Australia’s most trusted banks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and calculate accurate loan payout figures, ensuring deadlines and SLAs are met.
    • Complete discharge documentation and process facility closures in compliance with policies.
    • Liaise with customers to advise on balances and process closure or redraw instructions.
    • Manage settlement processes from file preparation to final discharge.
    • Ensure all activities comply with Bendigo Bank standards, procedures, and regulations.

    Requirements

    • Experience in banking, finance, or customer service (preferred but not essential).
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Proven customer service experience with a strong focus on accuracy.
    • Understanding of mortgage discharge requirements (advantageous).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate level preferred).
    • Familiarity with banking platforms (e.g., RFSA, PSP, PEXA, BPM, LendFast) desirable.
