Job Overview
Nedbank Lesotho is seeking an experienced and strategic Head: Human Capital to lead its Human Resources division and align people strategies with business objectives. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving transformation, building organizational capability, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring a culture of high performance and inclusion across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support Nedbank’s business transformation and sustainability goals.
- Ensure alignment of workforce planning, recruitment, and development initiatives with organizational needs.
- Promote a client-centric, performance-driven culture through leadership, communication, and engagement initiatives.
- Oversee diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to achieve transformational targets.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across departments and external partners.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization within HR operations.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Lead succession planning, learning, and development programs to build leadership depth and talent pipelines.
- Drive the implementation of performance management systems and reward frameworks that enhance productivity and retention.
- Foster a learning culture by encouraging staff to own their professional development and pursue continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (minimum).
- Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline (essential).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or Business Administration preferred.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years’ HR experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Proficiency in HR strategy development, talent management, workforce planning, and change management.
- Strong understanding of HR systems, governance, and organizational behavior principles.
