Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on international environmental law and related policies.
- Assist in drafting legal documents, reports, and policy briefs for various projects.
- Support the preparation of materials for high-level meetings and international conferences.
- Contribute to the analysis of national and international environmental legislation and frameworks.
- Help organize and manage legal information and databases effectively.
- Provide general support to the legal team on environmental governance matters.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Law, Environmental Law, Public International Law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in environmental issues, sustainable development, and international law.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse, multicultural team.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other UN official languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
