Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Kafka-based data streaming solutions.
- Develop and optimize Kafka producers, consumers, and stream processing applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka clusters to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka with various systems and applications.
- Implement security best practices for Kafka environments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data architecture and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Kafka Engineer or in a similar role with strong Kafka expertise.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, real-time data processing, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or ksqlDB.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
