    Job Overview

    Keoghs, a leading UK law firm and part of the Davies Group, is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its high-volume, fast-paced cashiering team. Based in Bolton, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to efficient financial processes while ensuring compliance with SRA, LSI, and LSNI regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, and delivering first-class service to both internal and external stakeholders.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Process client and office receipts, payments, and transfers across multiple currencies and jurisdictions (SRA, LSI & LSNI).
    • Manage daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cashbook records.
    • Handle complex ledger queries and oversee finance mailbox management.
    • Support audits, inspections, and suspense account maintenance.
    • Act as a point of support for Finance Assistants and Assistant Cashiers.
    • Monitor client account balances to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the cashiering team.

    Working Hours:

    • 35 hours per week
    • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
    • Hybrid role with flexibility based on business needs

    Requirements

    Essential:

    • Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.
    • Strong knowledge of SRA, LSNI & LSI rules.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal accounting software.
    • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Strong customer service mindset and proactive approach.
    • Effective problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
    • Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
    • High integrity when handling confidential information.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
