Job Overview
Radiology Tasmania, part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX) community, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join their team in Hobart. This is a permanent part-time role (27.5 hours per week) working across four clinics: Hobart City, Women’s Imaging, Rosny, and Glenorchy. Job Responsibilities
As a Medical Receptionist, you will:
- Manage phone enquiries professionally, confidentially, and efficiently.
- Welcome and assist patients at the reception desk.
- Schedule patient and referrer appointments.
- Process invoices, receipts, and Medicare rebates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Keep the reception and waiting area clean, welcoming, and presentable.
- Provide high-level support to patients and the clinical team.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring:
- Strong customer service and patient focus skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in radiology or exposure to Medicare billing is highly regarded.
