Ambient.ai is seeking a Part-time Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations in the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and supporting employee compensation functions within a rapidly growing technology company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and deductions.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation.

Requirements

  • Understanding of payroll principles and processes.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
