Job Overview
Pharmacist provides pharmacy services to patients and health care providers. Pharmacist verifies medication orders, fills prescriptions, compounds medications, dispenses pharmaceuticals and counsels patients on the appropriate use of mediations. Pharmacist trains and/or supervises trainees, new staff and technicians, performs routine quality control testing procedures and maintains all necessary records required by federal and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all regulatory, safety, and quality control programs and procedures.
- Promote the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medications.
- Verify medication orders and ensure appropriateness of therapy.
- Liaise with physicians and nurses to ensure safe and effective drug treatment.
- Dispense medications to patients and counsel them on proper use.
- Maintain accurate records for narcotics and controlled medications.
Requirements
- Required: Inpatient Pharmacist: NLT 2 yrs experience as a hospital pharmacist in a short-term acute care hospital.
- Outpatient Pharmacist: NLT 2 years of pharmacy practice experience, preferably in a hospital pharmacy.
- Experience as a sales representative or in a drug store is not acceptable.
- UAE National: upon completion of Internship.
- BSc degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy minimum.
