Job Overview

The Practical Nurse provides appropriate patient care according to established care plans under the supervision from Registered Nurses in accordance with the Nursing Scope of Practice. Adheres to and promotes the professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi. The Practical Nurse is not licensed for independent practice and remains responsible and accountable for his/her own actions. Understands supports and promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and implement nursing care for patients ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
• Assist in the activities of daily living for patients in accordance with the patient care plan.
• Report any significant changes in the patient’s condition to a registered nurse immediately.
• Respond to all levels of emergencies according to the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in the management of effective and efficient patient- centered care in a professional manner.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communication.

Requirements

• Diploma of Nursing not less than eighteen (18) months course duration.
• Current National License.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar health setting.
