Job Overview
Wood is hiring a full-time, on-site Reporting Finance Lead in the United Arab Emirates to own MEAC regional reporting. You will produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis, lead consolidations (flash, budgets, forecasts), administer and improve the EPM consolidation system, and partner with senior leadership and auditors to ensure timely, accurate IFRS-compliant reporting. The role also manages cash flow reporting and a small team supporting overhead accounting and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly MEAC management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Consolidate MEAC flash reports; administer and enhance EPM/financial consolidation systems.
- Consolidate annual budget, mid-year forecast, and rolling forecasts.
- Manage weekly Direct Cash Flow reporting and prepare data for roadshows/presentations.
- Drive continuous improvement in regional reporting and controls.
- Account for deferred consideration and other complex areas; support year-end close and external audit.
- Create the MEAC reporting calendar; manage staff covering overheads, AP, petty cash, and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Degree qualified (accounting/finance preferred); professional qualification (e.g., ACCA/CPA/CIMA) or in progress.
- Strong IFRS knowledge and group policy comprehension within complex global organisations.
- Proven experience in regional/group reporting, budgeting, and forecasting; EPM/Consolidation systems.
- Influential communicator with senior stakeholders; culturally aware and discreet.
- Track record in governance, performance target delivery, and embedding change.
