Job Overview
Air New Zealand is looking for a Reservations Consultant to join the team in Tokyo on a 6-month fixed-term contract (with potential to extend). You’ll play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer experiences, managing reservations, and connecting customers with their dream journeys to New Zealand and beyond.

Job Responsibilities
- Answer customer calls promptly and professionally, exceeding expectations in every interaction
- Resolve enquiries and complaints effectively, turning challenges into positive outcomes
- Guide customers through booking processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Provide travel advice and highlight New Zealand’s top destinations
- Support customers with online booking systems and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with airport teams to manage special requests and disruptions
- Handle staff travel, wholesale ticketing, group bookings, and reservation activities
- Assist sales and account managers with commercial activities
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships across sales, marketing, and commercial teams
Requirements
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
- Proven ability to resolve issues and handle enquiries in fast-paced environments
- Experience in travel, hospitality, or airline reservations preferred
- Familiarity with booking systems and reservation procedures
- Knowledge or interest in New Zealand travel and tourism
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Must hold existing work eligibility in Japan (no visa sponsorship provided)
