Job Overview
The RF SATCOM Technician will install, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair standard radio frequency wireless, line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, wideband, ground-based satellite, and encryption transmission devices. This includes working with multiple waveform systems, keying and signal devices, telemetry, and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair radio frequency wireless devices.
- Assemble, connect, and secure components such as transmitters and antenna assemblies.
- Resolve installation, repair, and modification problems associated with communications equipment.
- Conduct tests to restore and maintain systems using satellite and tropospheric scatter techniques.
- Analyze equipment characteristics to determine the source of malfunctions.
- Maintain inspection and maintenance records, and complete maintenance data collection forms.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Formal electronics training from a military technical training school, vocational college, or apprenticeship program.
- Minimum IAT Level II baseline certification.
- Familiarity with deployable communications systems and RF/SATCOM principles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
