Job Overview
Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a 75-room luxury resort along Barbados’ prestigious Platinum Coast, seeks a Seasonal Kitchen Steward to support its world-class culinary operations. The successful candidate will ensure the kitchen maintains exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency while supporting chefs and service teams in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate an industrial dishwasher, including sorting, stacking, loading, and unloading.
- Ensure all dishes, glasses, cutlery, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and readily available for use.
- Store cleaned items in an organized and safe manner to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Transport food and supplies between storerooms, kitchen, and designated service areas.
- Report and remove all broken or chipped items from circulation and update inventory records.
- Keep floors clean and dry at all times, using correct cleaning materials and equipment.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of service stations and function areas.
- Clean stoves, ovens, grills, and refrigerators with appropriate tools and solutions.
- Maintain a hygienic, safe, and orderly work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Possession of a valid police certificate of character.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
