Head of Accounting

Job Overview

Atlantic Grupa, a leading multinational food and beverage corporation, is seeking a skilled and experienced Šef računovodstva (Head of Accounting) to join its team in Bijeljina. This leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee the full scope of accounting operations, ensure compliance with national and international financial standards, and contribute to the company’s strategic financial management. The role requires both deep technical expertise and strong leadership to guide the accounting team in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement current financial and legal regulations to ensure full compliance with Bosnian and international accounting standards.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, semi-annual, and annual accounting and financial reports in line with Atlantic Group’s internal and external reporting standards.
• Supervise preparation of tax and financial statements for the company.
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, transaction postings, and reconciliation processes.
• Coordinate with Group-level departments to align local accounting practices with corporate guidelines.
• Collaborate with auditors, inspectors, and financial authorities during external reviews and audits.
• Contribute to budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
• Manage and mentor accounting team members, ensuring continuous professional growth and compliance excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting (minimum 300 ECTS).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Certified Accountant with a valid license issued by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Srpska.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, accounting standards, and financial legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
• Experience in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Experience working in multinational or corporate environments is an advantage.
