    Job Overview

    Roche is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused (Senior) Payroll, Time & Benefits Specialist to join its People & Culture (P&C) team in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The role is responsible for executing payroll, time management, tax, and benefits administration processes with accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.     Key Responsibilities

    • Execute system data maintenance and administrative activities related to payroll, time, tax, and benefits.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international payroll regulations and internal policies.
    • Provide customer service on pay, benefits, and time-related inquiries.
    • Process and reconcile payroll data for multiple pay frequencies.
    • Support negotiations and compliance activities related to payroll and union processes.
    • Collaborate with global and regional HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate data integration.
    • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives for HR systems and processes.
    • Act as a subject matter expert for complex payroll and time-related issues.
    • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring service quality and data integrity.
    • Promote consistent service standards aligned with Roche’s People Support Solutions (PSS) global framework.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 3–5 years of professional experience in payroll, HR operations, or shared services (preferably within multinational environments).
    • Strong understanding of local tax, social insurance, and payroll cycle management.
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).
    • Experience using Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
    • Fluency in English and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian; knowledge of Russian or Georgian is an asset.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
