Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing and overseeing daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest culinary standards as per BAHIA’s Michelin-guide quality.
- Contribute to menu development, focusing on innovation and respect for high-quality ingredients.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fine dining or Michelin-starred establishment.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creative and contemporary cuisine.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best kitchen practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
