Job Overview
Alva Industries, a Norwegian manufacturer of advanced electric motors, is looking for a motivated Supply Chain Trainee to join its team in Trondheim.
This trainee role is designed for students who want to gain hands-on experience in purchasing, logistics, and operations while working with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic industrial environment. You’ll collaborate across production, engineering, operations, and finance to help optimize supply chain processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle purchasing and ordering of products, equipment, and materials.
- Follow up with suppliers on orders, quotations, and deliveries.
- Plan purchases based on production needs and lead times.
- Oversee warehouse operations, procurement costs, and process improvements.
- Support logistics and distribution activities.
- Contribute to project work and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Shipping, Industrial Economics, or similar.
- ERP system experience is a plus but not required.
- Structured, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Curious, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian (written and spoken).
- Interest in logistics, technology, and process optimization.
