Wood is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to join our Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This role is based full-time at our Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Design, Conceptual, FEED, and detail Engineering experience.
- Proposal Estimation (Manhours, Deliverable list with Manhrs & Costing estimation for proposal in Telecom systems.
- Support interfacing between Telecom systems and key vendors (including Digital System Integrator (DSI)) and other EPC contractors to ensure quality and execution objectives are met.
- Ensure telecoms engineering activities are conducted in accordance with project specifications and approved variations if any.
- Co-ordinate with other disciplines and review of other discipline deliverables.
- Carryout onshore and offshore site surveys as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
- Minimum +5 years’ experience working in telecoms, in large Oil & Gas Facilities having broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore and offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
- Experience of working with multi – national and multi – cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
- Competent to carry out the Design activity in the Design-Check-Approve-Authorize cycle, and to check the technical deliverables of designers.
- Good oral and written English skills able to produce fluent Documents, Reports, and Technical Notes.
