Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently across specified routes.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure timely delivery of construction equipment, building materials, or metal/steel products.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential issues.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1/A driver’s license (or equivalent) for operating heavy trucks.
- Clean driving record and commitment to road safety.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including loading/unloading and vehicle inspections.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and long hauls.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings.
