Minimum requirements (summary)
- Skilled work: at least 1 year (1,560 hours) in the last 10 years in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3, matching your primary NOC, paid and continuous.
- Language: approved test in English or French with minimum scores in speaking, listening, reading, and writing (CLB 7 in each ability for FSW selection factors).
- Education: Canadian credential, or foreign credential with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

Other notes
- You must plan to live outside Quebec (Quebec has its own skilled worker program).
- Proof of funds may be required unless you are already authorized to work in Canada with a valid job offer.
- Arranged employment points require a valid job offer and one of IRCC’s four qualifying situations (LMIA, exempt work, etc.).
- Adaptability factors are combined; maximum 10 points total even if individual items add up to more.
