Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing all engineering operations and maintenance activities across the hotel.
- Ensure the efficient functioning of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
- Supervise and train the engineering team, fostering a culture of high performance and safety.
- Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and ensure guest comfort.
- Respond promptly to all maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and hotel standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel engineering management, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance strategies, and local regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in relevant maintenance management systems and computer applications.
