    Key Responsibilities

    • Abstract and code cancer data accurately in accordance with national and state standards.

    Requirements

    • Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification preferred, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cancer registry setting.
    • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for data abstraction and coding.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clinical staff.
