Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and operations.
  • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, standards, and guest specifications.
  • Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and consistently to meet quality expectations.
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of your assigned kitchen section.
  • Monitor inventory levels for your station and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
  • Completion of a culinary vocational certificate or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
