Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical advice on climate change, environment, and humanitarian-development-peace nexus issues.
- Develop and implement innovative climate and environment-focused programs and strategies tailored to the Ukrainian context.
- Support advocacy efforts to integrate child-sensitive climate action into national policies and practices.
- Conduct needs assessments, risk analyses, and research to inform evidence-based interventions.
- Build capacity of local staff and partners on environmental best practices and climate resilience.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental standards and organizational policies in all project activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Advisor or similar role in climate change adaptation, environmental management, or sustainable development.
- Strong understanding of environmental policy frameworks and humanitarian principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex and rapidly changing humanitarian environment.
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English, both written and spoken.
- Commitment to Save the Children’s mission, values, and child safeguarding policies.
