Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive field assessments and develop sustainable agricultural strategies for project areas.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on crop production, livestock management, and soil conservation techniques.
  • Support community farmers with practical training and capacity building on modern agricultural practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of agricultural interventions on food security and livelihoods.
  • Collaborate effectively with local communities, partners, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on agricultural activities and project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in agricultural development or food security programs, preferably within an NGO context.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sustainable agriculture, crop management, and farmer training methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in challenging field environments and diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is a significant advantage.
