Job Overview
The Corporate Librarian will serve as a central resource for scientific information, ensuring seamless access to high-quality literature, managing content licensing, and providing copyright guidance. This role supports global pharma operations by enabling informed decisions, innovation, and compliance in research and development.
Job Responsibilities
- Curate and deliver scientific literature end-to-end
- Manage content licensing, negotiate vendor contracts, and optimize global licenses
- Administer literature platforms (e.g., RightFind Enterprise) and provide training
- Act as corporate Copyright Officer and provide guidance across the organization
- Support biomedical research and intelligence, including complex searches and KOL mapping
- Promote best practices in scientific communication and AI usage
- Lead training, workshops, and outreach initiatives
- Optimize vendor partnerships and oversee financial aspects of content subscriptions
Requirements
- 5–7+ years experience in corporate, academic, or medical libraries, pharma/biomedical focus preferred
- MLIS or MS/PhD in biomedical/scientific discipline
- Licensing expertise (PubMed, Embase, RightFind)
- Strong copyright knowledge
- Budget management and analytical skills
- Proficient in biomedical database searching
- Knowledge of drug development, clinical trials, and regulatory processes
- Excellent communicator and organizer
- Fluent English
Preferred Assets
- Experience with data visualization, APIs, AI tools, digital transformation projects
- Training delivery skills and interactive learning adoption
- Membership in relevant professional associations (ALA, SLA, AMWA, EMWA, ISMPP)
