Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of data center hardware, including servers, networking devices, and storage units.
- Execute cabling, physical rack and stack, and inventory management for infrastructure components.
- Monitor data center environmental conditions and critical systems, responding to alerts and incidents promptly.
- Ensure strict adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and security measures within the data center.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on new deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Document all work performed, including hardware installations, repairs, and network configurations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data center operations or a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong understanding of server hardware, networking concepts (TCP/IP, switching, routing), and cabling standards.
- Ability to perform hardware diagnostics, component replacements, and basic system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with data center best practices for power, cooling, and physical security.
- Capability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
