Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal counsel on global data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive privacy policies, procedures, and best practices across all Aylo platforms.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and advise on data protection by design and by default principles.
  • Monitor changes in data privacy legislation and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and security teams to embed privacy controls into new and existing features.
  • Manage and respond to data subject access requests, privacy inquiries, and potential privacy incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and active admission to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in data privacy law, preferably within the technology or online content industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy Directive).
  • Proven ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US) are highly desirable.
