Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth economic research on emerging issues and frontier topics relevant to member states.
  • Develop and apply advanced econometric models for forecasting and policy analysis.
  • Prepare high-quality research papers, policy briefs, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor global and regional economic developments, identifying potential impacts on member countries.
  • Contribute to the formulation of policy recommendations aimed at strengthening economic and financial stability.
  • Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and to senior management.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Econometrics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in economic research, preferably within a central bank, international organization, or academic institution.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and data management skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical and econometric software (e.g., Stata, R, Python, EViews).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in Arabic being a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural research team.
