Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction to Grade 2 students in the afternoon session.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
  • Implement curriculum in accordance with provincial guidelines and school board policies.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and guardians to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Elementary Curriculum, particularly for Grade 2.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Successful experience teaching at the primary level is an asset.
