Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of emergency response operations in designated areas.
• Develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Liaise effectively with local authorities, partners, and international agencies during crises.
• Conduct rapid needs assessments and monitor humanitarian situations to inform interventions.
• Ensure that all emergency activities comply with ActionAid’s standards and humanitarian principles.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to response teams on the ground.

Requirements

• Proven experience in humanitarian aid or emergency response coordination.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in complex, fast-changing environments.
• Commitment to ActionAid’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages relevant to China is an asset.
