Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of emergency response operations in designated areas.
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Liaise effectively with local authorities, partners, and international agencies during crises.
- Conduct rapid needs assessments and monitor humanitarian situations to inform interventions.
- Ensure that all emergency activities comply with ActionAid’s standards and humanitarian principles.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to response teams on the ground.
Requirements
- Proven experience in humanitarian aid or emergency response coordination.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in complex, fast-changing environments.
- Commitment to ActionAid’s vision, mission, and core values.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages relevant to China is an asset.
