Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers in designing, developing, and operating the Catalog Platform.
• Drive the technical roadmap, vision, and strategy for the Catalog Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to define and deliver impactful platform capabilities.
• Oversee the architecture and implementation of critical services supporting Uber’s marketplace operations.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Manage project execution, resource allocation, and professional development for team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Strong background in building and scaling distributed systems and platform services.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture is preferred.
