Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and supervise an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team in Syria.
  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective clearance of landmines and other explosive remnants of war.
  • Implement and uphold The HALO Trust’s operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and training to team members on EOD techniques.
  • Manage and maintain EOD equipment, vehicles, and other resources.
  • Contribute to restoring safe environments, enabling community recovery and development.

Requirements

  • Proven and extensive experience in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operations.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team management, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and resiliently in challenging and high-risk environments.
  • Excellent understanding and adherence to humanitarian mine action (HMA) standards.
