Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects in the electrical equipment manufacturing sector.
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other technical documentation to determine scope and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and procurement teams to gather all necessary data for estimates.
- Evaluate material, labor, and subcontractor costs to develop comprehensive and competitive bids.
- Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options related to project estimates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, market trends, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience (2+ years) as an Estimation Engineer, preferably within the electrical equipment manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client interaction.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in cost estimation.
