Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary data for bids.
- Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for projects.
- Develop detailed proposals and presentations for clients, outlining scope and pricing.
- Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure profitability and budget adherence.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the quotation process and improve accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
