Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all purchasing activities for Mazda Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to secure the best value for goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and global supply chain dynamics to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and optimize inventory levels.
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical purchasing practices in all operations.
Requirements
- Proven extensive experience as an Executive Buyer or in a similar senior procurement role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
- Ability to work strategically, lead purchasing initiatives, and mentor junior team members.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
