Job Overview
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), one of India’s leading engineering and construction multinationals, is seeking a proactive Executive – Quality Assurance for its Surat facility. The role involves ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards across supplier networks, in-house manufacturing, and third-party inspections.
As part of the QA team, you’ll play a key role in inspections, documentation, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions that drive excellence in manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers, in-house teams, and third-party inspection agencies for timely inspections.
- Conduct inspection of raw materials (sheet metal, castings, forgings), in-process components, assemblies, and final products.
- Perform non-destructive tests, surface preparation checks, painting inspections, and performance/functional tests.
- Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and inspection procedures.
- Maintain quality documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify product/process non-conformances and collaborate cross-functionally for resolution.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Develop and deliver training modules on inspection methods and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering disciplines.
- Experience: 2–5 years in QA/Inspection in a manufacturing or EPC environment.
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, quality tools, and documentation.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing and industry quality standards.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting.
