Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all culinary operations for Chinese cuisine, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Develop and implement innovative Chinese menus that reflect authentic flavors and contemporary trends, appealing to a diverse luxury clientele.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Chinese kitchen professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas.
  • Manage inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste while ensuring product availability and freshness.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other culinary leaders to ensure a cohesive and exceptional overall dining experience across the resort.

Requirements

  • Extensive proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef, with a significant and specialized background in Chinese cuisine within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a large culinary team.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and regional specialties.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a multicultural setting.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and efficiency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of international food safety regulations and best practices.
