Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and investor communications.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, invoicing, and monthly closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, including VAT filing, corporate tax requirements, and statutory reporting.
- Develop internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks suitable for a fast-growing startup.
- Provide strategic insights to founders on cost optimization, pricing, and financial risk management.
Requirements
- Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Deep understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Ability to operate in a lean, fast-moving startup environment.
- Strong communication skills, able to simplify financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
