Ycona Eco-Luxury Resort Zanzibar is seeking a highly experienced General Manager for its luxury island resort and development in Zanzibar, Western Region, Uganda. This role involves overseeing all aspects of resort operations and contributing to its ongoing development as an eco-sustainable luxury destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the luxury island resort.
• Drive the development and expansion initiatives for the resort.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences and adherence to luxury service standards.
• Manage financial performance, budgeting, and cost control for optimal profitability.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing multicultural team.
• Implement and maintain eco-sustainable practices throughout the resort operations.

Requirements

• Extensive proven experience as a General Manager in a luxury hotel or resort, preferably island-based.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business development skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to manage complex budgets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest relations abilities.
• Passion for eco-tourism, sustainability, and unique hospitality concepts.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment.
