Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory services for the company and its clients.
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize financial outcomes and manage tax risks.
• Manage direct and indirect tax obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on complex tax issues, regulations, and legislative changes.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors on tax-related matters.
• Stay abreast of local and international tax law developments and ensure adherence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior tax role, preferably within the financial services sector.
• In-depth knowledge of Maltese and international tax legislation and regulations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax information clearly.
• Relevant professional qualification in taxation or accounting (e.g., ACCA, ADIT) is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a closely related field.
